We Invented the Relaunch

We had an amazing time at the relaunch.

The RSVP list filled up again, and we ended up releasing a second batch of tickets.

People came through to kick it with us while Karim spun tunes and set the vibe.

I cooked for everyone, and it felt good to pour into my community. Even if someone didn’t come in to buy a mag, it was nice seeing people from the area wander in, sit down, spend time in the space, and grab a plate.

Doing this in Hackney felt right.

There’s often a pressure to align ourselves with “prestigious spaces” for visibility and clout, but I think we also need to use our individual value to pour back into the places that shaped us and made us who we are.

The XM store is now live, where you can purchase the magazine and sculptures.

I’m still figuring out how to engage our online community and carry the momentum forward, but there are more articles and reviews from the archive still to come.

Thank you to everyone who came out. My heart feels very full.
